I was curious to see how the 3D shape would stay together, so I tried different ways of building it. When it didn’t work, I changed it and tried again.
During a maths activity, Madison explored 3D shapes using toothpicks and marshmallows. She showed curiosity as she carefully examined the materials and experimented with different ways to join them together. As she built, she looked closely at how the shapes formed and adjusted her model when it did not stand as expected.
She asked questions through her actions, testing ideas and discovering what worked best. Her willingness to try, change, and try again showed an interest in finding out how shapes are constructed. This hands-on exploration supported her understanding and encouraged her to remain engaged in the task.
