  • I was nervous, but I did it and my group did really good.

  • At the start of the year, Nicole was a shy and quiet student. She often preferred to watch first before joining in, and she sometimes needed reassurance when speaking in front of others. Over time, Nicole has grown in confidence and has begun to take a much more active role in class activities. She now shares ideas more freely, joins group discussions, and is starting to believe in her own abilities. A great example of this growth was during a Christmas craft activity. Nicole volunteered to lead a small group and did so in a calm and organised way. She explained what the group needed to do, helped others understand the steps, and made sure everyone had the materials they needed. When someone was unsure, Nicole supported them patiently and encouraged them to try. She kept the group focused while still making the activity fun and friendly. Nicole showed confidence, initiative and collaboration during this task. She stayed positive, even when small problems came up, and she found solutions by thinking carefully about what to do next. This was a proud moment that showed how much Nicole has developed as a learner and as a leader within the classroom.
